Summer Palette Mini-Day Camps:

Mondays - Thursdays, July 7 - August 21.
1:00 - 4:00 pm.
Each week focuses on a different blend of the arts. Give your child an adventurous summer with these exciting mini-day camps! Parents provide snack for their own child.
- July 7 - July 10: Dinosaur Camp
Ages 5 - 8. Kristy Carlile. Monday - Thursday. 1:00 - 4:00. Campers will become paleontologists and enter the prehistoric world of dinosaurs as they participate in many fun dinosaur-themed activities. Campers will learn the different types of dinosaurs, go on a dinosaur hunt, create their own dinosaurs and dinosaur dioramas. Children will dig up dinosaur bones and bring home real fossils.
- July 14 - July 17: Whimsies & Dioramas
Ages 4 - 7. Cheryl Carder. Monday - Thursday. 1:00 - 4:00. Using fabric scraps, tiny boxes, bits of nature and other imaginative items, children will make their very own hand sculpted figure called a Whimsy. They will also build a minature world of wonder where their Whimsy will live. Children will need to bring a shoebox.
- July 21 - July 24: Explore It, Imagine It, Build It!
Ages 5 - 8. Kristy Carlile. Monday - Thursday. 1:00 - 4:00. Explore the power of energy with this energetic mom/daughter duo! Through investigation and experimentation we will discover volcanoes, catapults and motion. Together we will build motors, cars and launch simple rockets, kites and planes. You will put it all together in your imagination, come up with your own one of a kind idea, plan it, draw it and build it with the supplies available in the studio.
- July 28 - July 31: Scribe Tribe - Puppets
Ages 4 - 8. Cheryl Carder. Monday - Thursday. 1:00 - 4:00. Using found objects, paper and natural materials, we will build puppets and stories to create a magical performance of wonder and delight. Half-hour show for parents the last day of class.
- August 4 - August 7: Make It Move!
Ages 5 & up. Kristy Carlile. Monday - Thursday. 1:00 - 4:00. In this class you will experiment with the laws of motion. With a variety of materials and tools you will create rockets, kites, cars, catapults and boats. During our last class you will take what you have learned about motion and invent, on your own, a one-of-a-kind vehicle.
- August 11 - August 14: Scribe Tribe - Costumes: Dress It Up!
Ages 4 - 8. Cheryl Carder. Monday - Thursday. 1:00 - 4:00. Reams of fabric, paper, odds and ends become the stuff of which dreams are made! In this class, children have the opportunity to try out designing and constructing costumes. Half hour fashion show for parents the last day of class.
- August 18 - 21: Artists of the Heart
Ages 5 - 6. Kristy Carlile. Monday - Thursday. 1:00 - 4:00. A class designed for children entering Kindergarten in the fall. Kristy will guide students in a creative exploration of friendship, feelings and communication through group art projects, cooperative games, and individual and collaborative story writing, which will then be brought to life through dance, drama and puppetry.
