Creative Arts & Preschool Enrollment Policies
Creative Arts Class Enrollment - How It Works:
School Year Creative Arts Classes
- Creative Arts enrollment during the school year (September through June) is through a waiting list. Children may get on the Creative Arts Waiting List when they are 20 months old; the age range for school year Creative Arts classes is 2 1/2 to four years old for the morning classes, and 3 - 5 years old for the afternoon class.
- To get on the Creative Arts Waiting List, e-mail Karen Knutson, Registrar, at knutson45@msn.com with the child's name, birth date, and a parent phone number.
- Children 3 1/2 or older may enroll at any time during the school year between September and June if there are openings.
- Children who are 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years old may begin classes during the following months only: September, January, or after Spring Break.
- Once a child is in a Creative Arts class during the school year, he/she may stay in that class for the rest of the school year. Two weeks notice to the Roaring Mouse office is required if you are planning to vacate your space.
July and/or August Creative Arts Classes
- There is open enrollment, on a first come/first served basis, for July and August Creative Arts classes—the waiting list is not used to fill these classes. The age range for July and August Creative Arts classes is 2 1/2 to five years old.
- In mid-March, when the July and August Creative Arts information is posted on the web site, you may mail in registration and payment. Your enrollment will be confirmed by e-mail.
- Enrollment in July or August Creative Arts classes does not guarantee enrollment in school year Creative Arts.
Roaring Mouse Creative Arts Preschool Enrollment - How it Works:
In most cases, preschool openings are filled from the Preschool Waiting List. To get on the waiting list, e-mail Karen—knutson45@msn.com—with your child's name, birth date, and a parent phone number.
Preschool openings for the following year are filled during January and February.
Decisions are made with regard to the following considerations:
- Required: All student must be three years old by August 31 of that year.
- First Priority: Siblings of currently enrolled Preschool students who are on the Preschool Waiting List and currently in Creative Arts.
- Second Priority: Siblings of former preschool students who are on the Preschool Waiting List and currently in Creative Arts.
- Third Priority: Currently enrolled Creative Arts students on the Preschool Waiting List.
- Fourth Priority: Students not enrolled in the Creative Arts program on the Preschool Waiting List.
