Roaring Mouse’s ever popular Summer Mini-Palette day camps are offered in the afternoons in July and August. Be sure to sign up early! Spots fill quickly! Roaring Mouse occasionally offers camps during school breaks. Please check our current schedule to see if any camps are available!
Summer Palette Mini-Day Camps
Each week focuses on a different blend of the arts. Give your child an adventurous summer with these exciting mini-day camps! Parents provide snack for their own child. Sign up for one week or more!
Whimsies and Dioramas
- Ages 4 – 7
- July 9 – 12, 2012

Using fabric scraps, tiny boxes, bits of nature and other imaginative items, children will make their very own hand-sculpted figures called Whimsies. They will also build a miniature world of wonder where their Whimsies will live. Each camper will need to bring a shoe box.
Explore It, Imagine It, Build It
- Ages 5 – 8

Explore the power of energy! Through investigation and experimentation we will discover volcanoes, catapults and motion. We will build motors and cars, and launch simple rockets, kites and planes. Campers will put it all together in their imaginations, come up with their own one-of-a-kind idea, plan it, draw it and build it.
Scribe Tribe – Puppets

Using found objects, paper and natural materials, we will build puppets and write stories to create a magical performance of wonder and delight. Half hour show for parents at 3:30 on Thursday, July 26.
Artists’ Choice

Dive into creativity with this fun and exhilarating camp for the artist who craves to explore, construct, invent and collaborate freely to make new and innovative works of art. Guaranteed to spark the imagination!
Costumes: Dress It Up!

Reams of fabric, paper, odds and ends, become the stuff that dreams are made of! Campers will have the opportunity to design and construct costumes. Half hour fashion show for parents at 3:30 on Thursday, August 9.
Animals!

Each day we’ll travel through different regions of our world, discovering animals in their homes. As children investigate animals and their habitats through art and play they will forge the variety of shapes textures and colors that make our animal friends so unique!
Artists of the Heart

A class designed for children entering Kindergarten in the fall. Kristy will guide students in a creative exploration of friendship, feelings and communication through group art projects, cooperative games, and individual and collaborative story writing, which will then be brought to life through dance, drama and puppetry.
